Face To Face Options
If you need assistance for your child this school year, we have options tailor made for the online schooling season. We have teachers (or say tutors-whichever or both) available to work with small groups of students.
These small groups are called "pods" and will consist of 5-7 students who will meet together with our teacher for supervision and assistance during the school day.
Teaching Plans For 2020 COVID-19 Guidelines For Public Schools
Plan B+ and Full Remote Academy. Both options will use the same curriculum and have similar schedules.
Plan B+ starts with 3 groups of students rotating into school in person for the first 2 weeks of school for orientation in order to meet their teachers, get materials, and start the year. They will then be online for all classes. If the current health situation changes, they may go to Plan B which has them alternating one week in person and two weeks online.
The Full Remote Academy will not attend school in person, but will have all classes online. Signing up for this option means that you will stay with this option for the first half of the year, and then you will be able to change to the other option or stay with Full Remote for the second half of the year.
All courses will be delivered through Canvas and will be structured within Canvas the same way for consistency.
During the school day, there will be both synchronous and asynchronous learning.
Synchronous means that there will be a teacher giving a lesson online.Asynchronous will be working on assigned work from the teacher on your own. Younger students may need parent involvement for these assignments.
